During December we received lots of calls from Pharmacists and two doctors about the IDDSI Terms. They had information about flow rates 1, 2 and 3, knew a little about IDDSI – but were unsure what they should using.

We have therefore passed them the Translator (shown below) which you may also want to print off and pass on. The PDF is available here.

In the meantime, when describing flow rates we would suggest you qualify whether you are using the old stage terms or the new IDDSI ones by prefixing the number: e.g. Stage 1 or IDDSI 1, Stage 2 or IDDSI 3. etc.
